Product Description

The Piteba Oil Expeller is made in Holland. It is a low cost way to make your own high quality raw nut and seed oil at home. If you have a nut tree in your yard you can make your own oil for free. There are many videos showing its use on the internet, just search for Piteba.

Suitable for almost all oil containing seeds with at least 25% oil in the seed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love my Piteba!, April 4, 2011
This review is from: Piteba Nut and Seed Oil Expeller Oil press
I got a Piteba oil press a little over a year ago. I have this thing about knowing how and having the tools to "do it myself" and I always wanted to be able to press my own vegetable oil.

The Piteba is the only small hand-cranked oil press that I found, but it works great. It does have a learning curve, and getting to know individual seeds and whatnot. I had great success with using it with sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and I am experimenting now with growing my own sunflowers and hull-less pumpkins to press the seeds. The ultimate in sustainability! I didn't have so much luck with flax seed, I found that it all compacted towards the end but then I emailed the manufacturer and he got back quickly telling me to just add a little water because flax can be tricky. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but he responded so quickly and that was really nice.

I actually did a full-on review with photos at my blog here - [...]

So really to summarize, the... Read more

The Piteba Expeller allowed us to extract kukui nut oil quite successfully -- it took a little experimentation to figure out the best method but my husband and I were glad to find an expeller at a fairly reasonable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love my piteba, April 6, 2012
This review is from: Piteba Nut and Seed Oil Expeller Oil press
Love my Piteba. Buyer above should have looked for the directions or asked the seller for new ones. Seems they didn't even try to right their concerns. There are also many videos on line showing it in use making oil and even sorghum juice for syrup. I have so far made pumpkin seed oil and almond oil. I am using the almond oil in a homemade lip balm and the pumpkin oil will be used for a special salad dressing tonight. I am building my garden around the Piteba as much as possible. This year I will plant lots of sunflowers, and hulless oil seed pumpkins. I will also be harvesting all of the hazel nuts this year. I'm hoping to make a amazing soap made with all hand pressed oils. I love this thing!
