2.0 out of 5 stars Usually like these types of toys....but, May 7, 2004

I was real disappointed with this product. I usually like toys that allow children to grow things and I felt this would be a real good learning experience. However....out of the 20+ seeds that we tried planting, only 2 actually sprouted. The directions say to plant them 1/4 inch from the viewing window. We did this the first time and when it sprouted, we were unable to see the root! I recommend planting the seeds right next to the viewing window and planting a few more than the 3-4 seeds per hole that they say in the instructions. (Or try a different product...The Wee Enchanted Garden is Great!)

it LOOKS really cool. Its a really cool IDEA. But we couldn't see them like you do in the picture. But its the same box thing (just styrofoam and a clear plastic "window") as the "worm-vue-wonder" so we'll fill it with worms now and see if that works any better

My six-year-old daughters are enthralled by the root view! What an excellent way to instill a fascination and love of science!
I highly recommend this for all children (okay, I'll admit it, I'm pretty fascinated with it myself!)

5.0 out of 5 stars good deal, March 26, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Ferry Morse Large Vegetable Garden (Lawn & Patio)
There were lots of seed packets that I would have bought individually at the store, where they would have been at least $1 apiece. This way I could buy them all in one package. I only wished it also contained a few of the herbs I always plant, like basil, cilantro, and parsley.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Variety, Good Quality, May 25, 2012
This review is from: Ferry Morse Large Vegetable Garden (Lawn & Patio)
I really liked the variety of seeds available. We planted tomatoes and bell peppers and they came up in droves. Very pleased as some seed brands barely give you 50% of the seeds coming up. The plants look sturdy and high quality - guess they're from good stock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Germination Rates!!, June 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Ferry Morse Large Vegetable Garden (Lawn & Patio)
I very rarely leave a review when I buy products but I just had to leave one here so other potential buyers can feel confident in buying these. Using normal germination techniques without any heating mats in about 70-80 deg. temps I have had over 95% germination across the board with these seeds. I could not be happier.

Bravo Ferry Morse! An Awesome Product from an Awesome company!
